CaféCentrum (Grachtengordel-Zuid)

Bocca Espresso Bar & School of Coffee

Great coffee. Seats run around the room; some are low, like armchairs, and about ten tables have ordinary chairs. Most people come to talk, but it isn't loud.

  • “Bocca is a huge, tastefully decorated space that serves coffee from their in-house roasted coffee beans. Walk around the bar to the back for the long table that’s perfect for working.”

Laptops
Nobody minds if you spend a long time there.
Noise
Not loud, even though most people come to talk.

HybridOost

Werkplaats (Volkshotel)

More democratic than the fancy hotel lobbies, with a library vibe. Often crowded.

  • “The cafe provides a buzzing work spot, filled with students, creatives and entrepreneurs making use of the free wifi, tables with power outlets and great coffee.”

    I amsterdam, Jun 2026

It's assumed you buy a coffee.
Noise
Talking is not welcome.
Wifi
Fast and free of charge (the venue says)

CaféOud-West

Kanarie Club

A corner set apart from the food hall. Not busy, except at the weekend.

  • “With fast wifi, more power outlets than an electronics store and plentiful delicious food options, Kanarie Club is undoubtedly the creme de la creme of laptop-friendly cafes.”

    I amsterdam, Jun 2026

Laptops
No fee. It's assumed you buy a coffee.
Best time
Weekdays. The weekend gets busy.

    I amsterdam, Oct 2026

HybridCentrum (Leidseplein)

De Balie

  • “But it’s the mezzanine in the cafe, complete with spiral staircase and views over Leidseplein, that is the main attraction for those looking for a great spot to work.”

    I amsterdam, Oct 2026

Best time
About 120 seats in the café-restaurant (the venue says)

CaféDe Baarsjes

White Label Coffee West

  • “This charming cafe in the west of the city has enough spots to land your laptop. Don’t miss out on their signature spappelsap — a funky mix of sparkling water and apple juice. White Label Coffee fills up quickly on weekends, so come early or miss out.”
