Our values

Feel. Think. Do. Share.

Four habits we practise at every session. They're why people finish what they came for, and why they come back.

  1. FeelNotice how you are todayat check-in ↓
  2. ThinkPick the task before you startat check-in ↓

Feel

You work better when you notice how you are.

We're not robots doing tasks on a timer. Notice how you feel working alone, and how you feel with good people around you. Respect how others feel too.

10:00At check-in you say how you are today, in one sentence.

Think

Pick the task before you open the laptop.

Doing tasks without thinking is just being busy. Decide what you'll finish today and say it out loud. Saying it to other people is what makes you do it.

10:00At check-in you name what you'll finish. At check-out you say if you did.

Do

Small real steps beat big plans.

Minute 30 of a focus block

We are doers. People who only talk about plans don't stay long. One block at a time, the task you kept putting off gets done.

Every block: 50 minutes of quiet work, then 10 to stretch and talk.

Share

Someone at the table may have solved your problem already.

People who share what they know do better than people who keep it to themselves. Harvard professor Joseph Henrich writes that groups who learn from each other beat groups of lone geniuses.

5 > 1
In one study, people who could learn from five teachers all ended up better than the best person who learned from only one.

Posting about your work online is good. Talking about it with a small group you trust is better.

breaksIn breaks, at lunch and at check-out, say what you're stuck on. Offer help when you can.

Eight house rules keep the table quiet and safe

Four to do, four to skip ↓

Please do

  • Say what you'll do in each block, then do it.
  • Arrive at the start of an hour.
  • Ask questions and offer help in the breaks.
  • Keep it private. What's said at the table stays at the table.

Please don't

  • Flirt at sessions. Dating will have its own quiet way.
  • Pitch or sell to the room.
  • Take calls or chat during focus blocks. Use the phone booth.
  • Try to impress. Just work.

If someone breaks these rules, tell Pavel. People who break them aren't invited back.

See all four at the table.

Mondays, Fridays + other days, 10:00 to 17:00. First day from €15.
